Skyline Is Gone!!!!!!!!! My nissan skyline r32 was crushed on 1/15/09 by the Fresno County Sherriffs Department. I got pulled over for the car being too loud. Cop ask me for drivers license and registraiton and asked what size engine. I told him, he radioed it in. looked it up on his laptop. Came back to my window and says, "Are you aware that your car is illegal in the U.S.?" i told him that i have it legally and have legal permits and insurance. He then says, "please pop the hood and step out of the vehicle".....i do so and he walks around and lifts the hood........he sees all the modifications and gets on his radio. He asks for the Department to send him a tow truck.....He told me that the car was gonna be impounded and I refused and he said that i should have known that the engine was illegal. I just got the engine installed exactly a week before the day that it got taken away. I got a ride to the station in the skyline on the tow truck and they droped it off, gave me a fat ass fine, said that there is nothing i can do, and gave me a ride home and said they will give me a call when they figure out whats gona happen. Got a call in 2 days saying that they car had my belongings in it (a pair of shoes and cell phone charger in the back seat) My mom gave me a ride down and I got them out of the car and i aked if i can take some things off of the car such as my Limited Pioneer d4232 deck and my box and amps. They said no. the car is being crushed as is. I watched the car be crushed and my mom gave me a ride home and now im getting bills in the mail almost every day this week.
